Default LT-40 Flaps

Has anyone tried flaps on their Lt-40?

I've done flaps on a RCM Trainer 40 but changed them over to spoilers for shorter landings. A flat bottomed wing with light loading really doesn't benefit from more lift. Raising the ailerons as spoilers prevents "balloning" when landing and shortens the approach.

I have flaperons on my LT-40. So basicly both ailerons go down about 15 degrees with the flap switch, and then they still function as ailerons from that angle. Its acutally pretty cool how well it works. I can get some crazy slow landings. It almost comes to a stop about a foot off the ground, and then just plops down on the runway. But if you program your flaperons to go down too far, you have lots of tip-stall issues.

Its a lot of fun to play with, I would recomend it if you have an extra standard servo.
