Hi, I have an older FS-70 in a GP j-3 Cub. The question is there is a nipple venting the crankcase. Does that just dump overboard or is it supposed to be hooked up to something? My fuel tank has the feed line with clunk to carb., pressure line/vent to muffler nipple and a remote filler line. Thanks in advance, Joe.

Don't restrict the vent line. One of our guys put a bottle with some cotton fluff on the bottom on his firewall and ran the vent line into this. It caused enough back pressure that he couldn't get his engine running right. He pulled the line and ran it out the cowl with a short path and all was well.
If you really decide you need something other than a drip line, drill and tap your intake manifold and run the line to it. My 70 Magnum has the line vented this way from the factory as well as the Mag 91's. It works very well.
