Ok so i was flying mr pulse 41 last weekend at the school yard in the country like i always do there is lots of room about 10 acres. so anyway it was fairly windy and i was having a hard time battling the wind so i was coming in for a landing and that was quite the challange but fun still, anyhow i was lined up to come in through the goal post of the soccer feild i use as a runway. when the wind gusted and picked the plane up about 4 feet and yes i crashed head on into the crossbar of the goal, but i didnt just crash into it, i hit it dead on with the spinner hmmmmmmmmm. lucky i guess. the damage was not too extesnive it just broke the prop cracked the cowl and broke the spinner off and the it broke the firewall out of the plane. well now the damage is all repaired and i started it up to run as i wont get to fly this weekend and so i checked the tune and found it to be out. i am running the evolution .46. it ran awesome and was in tune before the crash and now it runs ok but i can tell it is too lean, because even if i go 10 clicks richer on the high speed needle then pinch the line off at full throttle she just dies and. i did replace the muffler gasket adn found the carberator to be loose so i tightened it up again and tried it but now difference. im not to sure what would cause this the happen all of a sudden and am wondering if anyone has experienced this or has any advice or insight? thanks for the help in advance.

If you do a pinch test and it dies immediately without an increase in RPMs then you got a lean engine, try going further into the rich side. The instructions manual that came with that Evo must have instructions on how to tune starting from 0. On O.S engines you start from 2 1/2 turns and lean it from there.

Also as you tighten the carbeurator, make sure to pinch/push it down to squeeze the gasket. You might want to remove the carbeurator first to make sure nothing is cracked or broken there.
Another thing to check is the rear crankcase cover. The crackshaft could have been jammed back into it and cracked it causing an air leak there.

A charateristic I have found with the carb on this and a few other carbs is that if you lean the idle mixture past a certain point, you cannot get the high speed mixture rich . Did you adjust the ile mixture after the fix? Try richening the idle mixture a bit, even up to 1/2 turn counter clockwise, then try the high speed needle again.
