Went to the field this morning with my trusty LT 40, right at lift off, wind got under the left wing and did the prettiest flip ya ever seen.
Got one wing bolt and both engine bolts on one side, luckily I closed the throttle before she hit in the sand and grass. I think if I had had her on high rates I could have saved it,( not enough throw on the aileron's)
No biggie, she'll fly again. This was my first crash and no one there to see it.

If it makes you feel better, you can try to duplicate it with a vidoe camara going and put it on utube [8D], bummer about getting to te field and not being able to fly.

That is a disadvantage of a high wing. The advantage is, it's an LT 40, and you can fix it in just a couple of hours, probably. I thought I had busted up my Tiger pretty good when I went long on a landing and put it in a fence. Did some major damage. Took about 3 hours and only 1 piece of balsa that I had to buy for the leading edge of the wing. The rest of the wood was scrap from other planes I have built. Other than the patched Ultracoat, you could never tell by how they fly. Just start on it, and you will be surprised at what you can do to put it back together again. Good Luck!

After every mishap I feel more comfortable (it's only a plane) and more confident with the sticks (usually it's a learning process). It means your learning!!! Enjoy it, including the opportunity to understand what you could have done differently, or at least enjoy doing either repair work or building something new. I never thought I'd say something like this until I started banging up my plane. I'm proud of my repairs, and thankful I'm banging up this plane and not something that cost $300 or dozens of hours of build time.

The only damage was one nylon wing bolt broke and two motor mount bolts on one side, nothing serious.
