It is a rainy day but I went to the feild this morning and we could not get the buddy box unlocked. So I flew with out the buddy box 1st thing. I was nervious but flew around for about 4 minutes it started to rain a little....so I landed it...perfectly.
Then one of the Instructors who is qualified to test students showed up and I grabed him. He had Bill (my buddy) put my on the buddy cord while Steve (the testor) watched. Did the manuvers he requested. Then landed with a very smooth touch down...all good. There was real little wind to deal with. Then he told me to land from the other direction. I had landed from both ways before and had good landings. But for the last 3-4 weeks the wind has always been from the east and I had been comming in from the west heading into the wind. So I lined up from the east end of the feild but it was not as good I was determind to land the thing on the first try and it was not too pretty....I bounced a bit and hit the prop... but all was well. He soloed me anyway. LOL! SWEET!!!!! He asked my buddy Bill how I had been doing and Steve had flown me a few times before so they let me pass. Normaly I would have came around again and landed better but I was being tested.
But thats over now and I am officialy soloed. Then it started raining cats and dogs....and still is. I am now soloed and cant fly today. Bummer!!!!!!!!!

Traski,
Way to go!!!! [sm=thumbs_up.gif][sm=thumbs_up.gif][sm=thumbs_up.gif][sm=thumbs_up.gif]
Now when you got to work on Monday you're going to have to explain why you have a silly little smile on your face!!!
A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).

Congratulations! Just one piece of advice: There's NO shame in going around for another approach. I still do it every now and then, and I'm an instructor. I tell my students to simply go around if anything feels out of place. To heck with the peanut gallery.
