What difference is there between the Parkzone J-3 Cub and the Parkzone J-3 Cub BL - if any? In my 3rd flight I took a nose dive 10 ft, coming about into the wind to land, and cracked the cowl and broke the prop. Went to the Parkzone site, got the part number for a new prop, went to lhs, obtained said prop, got home to discover that the part number on-line at the Parkzone site is different from what my manual said (PKZ1001). Went back on-line and noticed an "adapter" so tripped back to lhs and picked up the adapter. got home and noticed the prop is quite different pitch than what came originally. I know improper propping can be an issue, but wonder if the difference between the J3 and J3 BL is enough that I ought not to use the BL part on the standard J3. Make sense?

I'm not 100% positive on this but I believe the BL version has a brushless motor and performs a little better.

Hi,
I have the bl and my friend has the super cub. The bl is smaller faster and loops much better, its more plastic has the li-po battery and brushless motor. The super cub is foom and slower, its a very good trainer type plane. If you are starting out get the super cub and try and get someone to help you that know how to fly, it will help a lot.
My friend bought his super cub and took it out on his own and broke it first flight, thats when he asked me to help . After a few flight with him he is flying on his own. I am not saying he does not make mistakes but he gets away with them now.
I am in the process of teaching him to fly the glow planes.
sorry, just went back and read all your post
I would not use the bl prop on the super cub. You will over speed or tax the system. even if you don't do that , more than likly it would fly well.

Right on. Thanx very much.
I'll see if they'll take back te stuff I got and trade for the correct prop etc.
I'm fairly sure that the J3 I have has the 380 brushless, but will relook at the manual.
Thanks for the helpful feedback.
