Now that you mention it Minn, I would. The only reason keeping me away from making this my next radio is the fact that I'm stuck for life with the 2.4 bulky module with the antenna coming from the back given that I wont use 72mhz because I currently own only one 72mhz receiver which I rather upgrade to 2,4 instead of getting the 72mhz module and antenna. Is it very bulky with the 2.4 module? Please convince me of getting one of these 10C!
PS: Did you get yours from Tower?

The module is not bulky at all. It inserts into a recessed square hole in the back and lays almost flush with the back of the transmitter. I'll take a pic when I get home.
I got mine for a review for RCU Magazine, so yes, basically you could say it came from Tower.

Minn is there any difference between the USA version and the European. Heading over to the states in a months time. Might pick up one if there is no difference. I heard there might be. Also is it a better buy than the 12C

I got mine last Wednesday, was able to get my 9C Campac down loaded okay. Still reading up on the manual and going through and trying to understand the settings & programs in the Tx. Over all its set up programing wise like the 9C & 9C Super.Just trying to get things figured out. Bax here on RCU is very helpful, And if Minnflyer is doing something for RCU then Im sure he will be alot of help. Right Minnflyer?!

I'll sure try
I don't think there's any difference between the version in the States and a Euro version. The manual even states that you should use one setting for US and most Euro countries, but a special "France" setting if you fly in France. So I would assume this same radio is used all over.
I am not familiar with the 12C so I really can't compare.

That would be loads of help. I want to LOVE a radio which will cost me $600 and which will probably be my radio for years to come so I want reinforcement towards this choice vs. JR X9303 because in the end I'm just a Futaba kinda guy and want to overcome the bulky 2.4ghz trauma.

The 10C is backwards compatible with 72mhz modules. I think this answers the question although I have my doubts since I'm giving new information to RCKen which seems like a highly unlikely task to achieve so I figure I must have misunderstood Ken's doubt

I don't know about Minn's sample for the review, but Bax has confirmed it will only ship with the 2.4 module and if you wish to use 72mhz you'll have to purchase both the module and the antenna separately.

I haven't really dug into it yet, but as far as I know it WILL broadcast on 72MHz
In fact, I asked that question of Marion Berninger when I talked to her about the 10C at Toledo
Here's the video:

BTW, Mine came with the 72MHz antenna - I don't know about the module yet.

Yeah, I asked that question in the Radio MFG forum and the response was you had to purchase a 72 MHz module in order to have both the 2.4 Ghz and 72 Mhz capabilities. I was pointed to [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXH278&P=7]this[/link] over at Tower.
BTW, Mike, can't wait for your review. I have been anxiously awaiting some meaningful intel around the 10c for quite some time. I know I'm expecting this to be a radio that can last for many many years to come. Its ability to support both 72 Mhz and 2.4 Ghz really cuts down on equipment needed at the field.
I too, have concerns on the "bulkiness" of the module, so please (for the masses) concentrate a bit on that during your review. Things I'd like to know are:
1) How well does this sit on a bench? Does it tend to topple? What about lying it on it's back ... is that going to be possible?
2) If you have a case, how well does it fit? Are we going to have to remove the 2.4 Ghz module to transport in a case? If so, do you think the radio is engineered to travel without a module in it's back? Are there exposed pins to be conscious of?
3) How does the radio "feel" in your hands? The radio itself looks "tall", is it well balanced?
Thanks Mike! Looking forward to the review.
