Default Wish me luck!

I'm going to build a SIG LT-40 as my "first" plane. But I decided I need something more ARFish to get me rolling until it's done.

So... I went a purchased a DuraPlane Trainer 40. Yup, the D word. Didn't do much research (bad, bad). Evidently I purchased a brick with wings.

I am going to semi-SPAD it with some advice I found in an old thread from Mike.

You'll have fun with the Duraplane. Just get some help flying it. When you're ready to go on the LT-40, you'll be very happy with the way it flys as well.

If you get an experienced pilot to set up the brick it will make it a little easier for you, but it's still a brick. ENJOY !!! RED

Hi _Chuck_
I wish you good luck. A trainer SPAD is an excellent choice. It is true that SPADS frequently are a little heavier than balsa planes, but they are so much tougher. After 36 years in this hobby I only have SPADS now. I don't even notice how ugly some of them have been. The fact that they can cartwheel on a poor landing with little or no damage kind of makes up for their "unique" look.
