I finally did it, thought it would be longer, but I soloed last night! I headed out there for just another night of training, and I did some touch and go's with another of the instructors. He told me after I was done and had landed that my next flight I was on my own. I immediately got the butterflys. My original instructor wanted me to do a deadstick first, but since I was the only one out there with a plane, they said "Alright, go do it." I had the butterflys all the way up until she got in the air, then I was as comfertable as I am driving my nitro cars. I did 5 touch and go's with one prop strike that almost killed the motor but didn't and 2 of them that my instructor couldn't believe how smooth they were. One of them was the prettiest 3 point landing you'll ever see and even I couldn't believe it. Yes, the smile was all over my face
[sm=teeth_smile.gif]. Today its like this[sm=shades_smile.gif]. Now comes the fun part when I can go fly whenever I want, all I need now is my own battery checker. Thanks for all the advice and help from everyone that has replied to my posts.

Brett,
Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And great timing too, now you have a long weekend coming up to fly!!!!!!
A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).

I will toss in my congratulations as well, being fairly new I can DEFINATELY empathise with the bitterflies you got! (I almost backed out of my solo because I didnt think I was ready)

Great job.. it's the best feeling knowing you can "unlock the gate" at will and go fly !!! Now comes the part about not biting off more than you can chew regarding aerobatics... (dont ask me how I know!).

Congrats on earning your wings!!
I am getting very close to my solo. It will be near end of next session if all goes well. My club requires 3 touch and goes from each direction (consecutive) in order to earn our wings. Yes, I do get the butterflies thinking about it. Only had one prop strike last night. My alpha has that tweaked "beginer" nose gear now
