Default My Trainer plane

Guys, im trying to put together my trainer plane. Putting the ailerons on the wings, the directions show these hinges, but the hinges i see look absolutely nothing like the ones in the pics. What i have are these flimsy paper round things with a small slot in them. Are these the hinges? LOL.. like i said, they look nothing like what the pics show...

thanks all

Hello,

Sounds like what you have on hand are referred to as "CA Hinges". I'm sure others will chime in but you could do a search for CA hinges here and come up with many threads on their installation.

Hope this helps!

those are the hinges that are included with most all trainer planes. What trainer do you have?

are you sure you're not mixing up the hinges with the torque rod installation :P

I'd highly recommend that you read and review the following article about installing CA hinges at the AMA's Sport Aviator web site:

http://www.masportaviator.com/ah.asp?CatID=2&ID=14

It should provide a good deal of insight before you attempt to install your hinges.

Our own Minnflyer has an excellent How-to on installing CA hinges. It should answer all of your questions on getting them installed.
