I have been in this hobby for many years. I have made a challege for myself. I am going to train a newbie on a 4*40. After flying severl 4*'s, I think with dialed down rates, it will make a good plane to buddy box someone on. I figure the landing sessions might take longer, but I think teahing the guy to make flat turns and such shouldn't be any more difficult. I was just wanting some feedback from you guys out there.
Thanks
Chris

You can teach someone on anything. The time involved and techniques will only vary slightly.
I am much more confident with an instructor saying, "I'm going to teach someone on a warbird", than a newbie saying, "I want to learn on a warbird".
There's a big difference between the two.
PS Personally, I like to train on an intermediate flier like a 4*. But you have to be willing to dedicate yourself to the trainee.

Hi Chris. Yesterday, one of the newer pilots out at our field asked me what I thought about my 4*40's flying characteristics after he watched me doing a few touch and goes. I told him that it's almost like flying a low wing trainer, and I also feel it would make a very nice second plane.
