Default dx7 question

i talked my friend into getting a dx7 radio, after he used mine he really liked the way it worked ! So we found one new on ebay and after it came we charged it up and bound it to a plane of mine and it bound perfectl but the throttle and rudder sticks are on the right and the elevator and aileron sticks are on the left just the opposite of mine is this something that can be changed?

Yes, if I'm sure you can change that! It a matter of reading the manual for the TX and making the proper changes. I've forgotten what mode you have described most likely mode 3 or 4.

If you have trouble call the tech line listed in the manual nice folks there.

I use to change the mode of some radios some time ago, it was really easy just changing the spring and a metal ratchet, but that was before the computerized radios, I believe that it could be done the same way but you have to be aware that when you are into a programming level, elevator and throttle will be different channels. I would send it to Horizon or ask them firstly for a quote, and then you will know if your buddy did or not a good deal.

I'm pretty sure you can change the MODE via the menu but you also need to move the ratchets and throttle/elevator centering springs. Even then it may need some adjustments. I'd send it to Horizon and let them make the changes and look it over.
