Can anyone tell me why APC props usually look off center when looking at them from the front , but look centered from the rear...? Is this normal, I returned a couple until i realized they almost all apear this way...

Not sure. Maybe the mold they use.

Honestly I don't know, but what I do know is they're great props and very durable. I use them for almost all my applications.

The Illusion you are seeing is due to the relatively straight trailing edge design (at the back) combined with the Simitar shaped leading edge (at the front). This shape is intended to improve aerodynamic performance as well as sound attenuation.

The degree of the Illusion will vary with every change in prop pitch as well as the hub thickness and root design since any change in pitch requires a different hub thickness and or root design. So every different size will look somewhat different.

Landing products produces over 300 differant designs and many you may never see are optimized for various competitive venues with additional selection of blade chords from triple thins to triple wides. Each and evey one will impart a very different look.

If you happen to run accross any APC pusher prop, hold it up next to a tractor prop of similar size and note the illusion will be exactly opposite of the tractor prop appearing bent in the other directon.

There was nothing wrong with your props.

John
