What radio do you have? Most of them have timers built in.

You mean I can measure the inner width of a Fuse with that ? ( Ive never used a caliper), is 6 " enough?

A cheap egg timer would work.

My Futaba 9cap Supper has a great set of timers. I can set them up so the timer starts when I push the throttle of idle. Keeps track of the time in the air, and time on the model. The only thing more I could ask was to be able to hear it. When I was trainging, after a couple close calls wtth fuel, I picked up one to the old clock work timers with a bell at the local thrift shop. No funky sounds, no ring until you shut it off, just one really loud DING when the time was reached. Cant beat them

They're identical to some of the ones on ebay & amazon. They work fine. A $10 timer is a lot cheaper than a 9C or 10C.

For a cheap digital caliper, try Harbor Freight. I've got a couple of them and the are dead on accurate. I've checked them against my calibrated (ISO9000/9001) caliper and they read the same all the time.
