They have the .75-AX that is pretty much a drop in replacement for a .61.

You might ask over on the RCU OSMax mfg's forum.

The engine forums are down below the electric forums.

There is a new .35 AX but I figure it's out of your expected range.

edit: What I say in this message is not correct, so don't panic... I'm leaving it, though, because it will be more confusing if I delete it....

I was bummed that they discontinued the .25FX, we all use those in our combat planes, and they are great engines. They 'replaced' it with the .35AX, which I am sure is a fantastic engine, but for $129 I will not be buying one.

I can't remember where I read that the .25FX was discontinued. I know I read it in several places. It seems that all of the FX engines are being replaced by the AX series.

It is entirely possible that I got wrong information on this. Hopefully someone can confirm.

That would be nicefor a conformation. It would be just plain stupid to expect the 35 to take up the .10 to .30 range. Now a replacment 25ish AX (not 0ver.30) would be welcomed with open arms

The O.S. Max .25 FX is not discontinued. The .35 AX replaced the .32 SX engine. The .25 FX is currently out of stock, but due to arrive in about two weeks or so.

Thanks for the clarification. It really didn't make sense to me that they would discontiue such a great engine and leave such a hole in their lineup.

I'm sorry for spreading misinformation []

Life without the .25FX would be incomprehensible and not worth going on!

John'what are trying to do with that many engines of the same size?

Regarding the .91 size, I think that OS could have a great idea releasing a two stroke .91 AX series engine, that would complete the new line of powerful AX engines. (Could compete with the Evolution 100)

Time will tell.

What kind of Mufflers are those on your 25 FXs. COMBAT OR RACING?

For this airplane. Of course also reengined the old Quad Kaydet (just under two hundred flights) with 25FX/Ultra thrust also last year and reengined the Oxy Moron twin engine glider (Seniorita) with 25 FX/Ultra thrust last year. This year completed the Champion Lancer first with magnums and now converting to 25FX Ultra thrust.

Uh thats 14 new 25 FX's in about a year and and a half and I need to buy three more for my Stinson that may emerge from the airplane dungeon in Jan or Feb, Last photo. There are others but thats it for my .25 powered multi's.

They are quarter wave Ultra Thrust pipes from performance spcialties That are a perfect match for the .25 FX with APC 9x4's . Considerably more power but also improved throttling that is so important on multi's.

lets see I have nine 25fx's 5 with macs headers and mousecan mufflers for combat. I need about 6 more to complete the combat fleet. these are the best engines for combat.

Thank you Brett, no it is a Stinson Tri motor 6000U. The plans were drawn by a local and a prototype was successfully flown here many years ago. The designer did I beleve sell plans for a while in the magazines. He has since passed away and not sure if any others were built from sold plans but my long term project may end up being the only other one ever built.
