Default How should I load my car?

My Hobbistar60 and 4* 40 fit nicely in my 4runner. I put the seats down and they go side by side with the wings (smooth sides facing each other) in the passenger seat.

Well now that I got the Tiger 60, I'm all out of sorts. The tricycle gear is okay, but with the wing off the tricycle goes to a unicycle and it's a bit of a pain to secure upright.

So, I'm wondering what sort of rigging am I going to have to construct to get this to the field. I'm resigned to taking only two planes, but there has to be a system for this Tiger.

Thanks

Paul

When in doubt, PVC tubing to the rescue...

You can easily make a simple multi tiered combination wing holder and multi-level fuselage holder...

You can design it to keep two plane fuselages side by side, with a possible third and fourth slightly higher... the wings on a "U" type holder ( think football posts... ).

There are plenty of pictures on other threads of what people have done.

The PVC rack works great. I have one that bolts in the bed of my truck. You can also make a simple fuselage holder by cutting u-shaped openings in the top edge of a foam ice chest or even a cardboard box.

Great photo Chuck!!! That third plane is always the one that gets you. The PVC rack works out very well.
