Default Video of me at Elk City fly in

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vkivi4Xxc1Y

The filming isn't that great, and neither is my aerobatics, but I'm learning. It was a sweet fly in at Elk City, OK with 4 jets and a Futaba sponsored yak 3D flyer. He was unreal!

nice video and flying, but i had to hit the mute [sm=spinnyeyes.gif] rather of heard the engine and the sounds from the fly-in

keep up the good flying, how long have you been flying now ? if i remeber right not that long ? if so your doing a very good job.

Sorry, the actual audio was not much plane noise, but more talking. I first soloed back on July 2 this year, my instructor still brags about how new I actually am. He was amazed that I maidened my own Extra.

I spotted for Brent once on Saturday. He is doing great for the time he has on the sticks. If you still want to hover Brent. Ease that CG back a little. And to hover or 3D try a APC 12.25x3.75 on your 55. You spinner won't fit that prop without some carving but it will give you more prop wash at low speed. I also was going to talk to you about you low end and got busy. I set my two strokes like this. I let it idle for 30 seconds on the satnd. Then hook the glow back up. If the RPM picks up it is on the rich side. I lean it a little at a time checking the transfer each time. Good luck and keep after it.

Hey, thanks for the spot and the suggestions. Funny that you found my vid and you had spotted for me. I'm gonna be testing props soon, I had that same apc prop on my trainer, so I got a spinner that will fit it.

Dave, that's how you tune the low end?? I thought I was shown every way you could do it but I have never seen that one. I will give it A try this weekend, I have A fat running Saito 100 that needs the low end lened out now. Sounds good to me!! Now I have A Vid I have to watch. Either that or watch TV stars try to dance. I think Brett wins out on that one. OK, my sound is off!!!

Gray Beard,
Would like to know how this works for your Saito. I have an 82 that I need to do the same thing, I think. It runs pretty good, unless I throttle down for a few seconds, and then when I throttle up, it sort of sputters and blows a little white smoke, and then picks right up goes. Sorry to high jack the thread.

The 55ax swings an APC 13x4 wide without any difficulty and produces tremendous thrust with good throttle response for it's size.

I agree the 13x4W is a great prop on the 55AX. I just feel with the Pitts muffler he is using the one I suggested might be better. If I were in his shoes I would try both.

Brett, I forgot to ask. I would love to have a picture or video of me hovering my Fusion next to the Jim Flannigan's big Yak you mentioned earlier. Do you have any shots of it?

Thanks, David
