I just finished putting together My new Extra 300 with a Magnum 46 XLS. This is My 3rd plane I'm still flying My trainer and can solo that. What do think about the power to weight ratio that this little .25-.36 plane will have? Will it be able to fly with out shedding apart mid air? I have seen some people using nothing bigger than a 40 LA. What your thoughts on that? I'm still learning and hope to have one of my very good flying buddy there for her maiden flight this Sunday. Any how thanks for any input and thoughts.

My Feedback: (-1)
I bought that little plane used several years ago at an auction, I was after the nice OS .46 and servos. not the plane. I got it all for 40 bucks, pulled it apart and stuck the plane under a bench and forgot it. A year or so later I remembered it and cleaned it up and installed A OS .46 LA. Was I ever surprised!! That really is A nice flying Extra. The .46 LA was just fine and it can handle any of the newer/better engines in the .46 range. Being an ARF you want to go in and do the regular ARF fixes like reinforcing things and using some real glue to the parts you can reach plus fuel proofing. Other then that it's A great plane and will fly just like any other size Extra, just does things A bit quicker. Have fun and don't worry.
