Default Tx/Rx charging question

A lot of you guys have multiple airplanes that you take to the field with you. How do you go about charging different rx's? Do you buy a 2nd wall wart charger or is there other chargers that will can handle multiple tx/rx's at one time? DG

I have multiple wall warts.
I've bought 4 full radio systems so I have 4 standard chargers. I started buying 1650 mah receiver packs from NoBS Batteries. They sell a high output wall wart for about $20 so I bought 2 of them. The charger is on this page. http://www.hangtimes.com/chargers.html you have to scroll to find it.

In addition I have a field charger for the times I forget to do the overnight charge.

I vaguely remember seeing chargers with as many as four outputs but they were very expensive.

Accu-cycle Elite.

It is a good thing to have an intelligent charger. It's great to have a charger that can also cycle your batteries. Chargers that tell you how many mAh your battery used today for however many flights you flew are really, really useful. Least important, is that it's nice to have a start-and-forget charger that will recharge the day's batteries in about an hour.

When you can afford it, a really useful piece of equipment is an intelligent charger.

When you get one, it's nice if it'll work at home and at the field. And it's nice if it can do both a TX and a RX at once. And the Accu-Cycle Elite does all that. It can also do LiPos.

When I get home from the field, I plug my airplane and my transmitter into the Elite and go take a shower. After supper I head down to the basement and see how much juice was put back into the batteries. I know how much I flew and how much the two should need. If either took more, I know it's time to cycle it. The Elite will cycle it overnight and tell me if the battery has bounced back or not. I've retired a couple of batteries since getting my first intelligent charger/cycler. That beats having lost a couple of airplanes.

One issue with a wart is you really have no idea how much charge you have put into the battery. Knowing the charge can tell you a lot about the battery, plane condition, etc. The warts also take to dang long for my tastes. I'd suggest looking at a charger that has a readout displaying the charge it has placed into the battery. If you get a high current charger and rapid charge cells, you can then also charge your packs at the field if you want as they will charge quickly.

This is a popular charger that will charge the transmitter and receiver, 2 transmitters, or 2 receivers at the same time. All you need to go with it is a 12v battery and the proper connectors to go with it at the bottom of the 1st link below.

works great

Since I've replaced my TX's NiMH batteries with 2650mAh LiPo's, I quickly charge the LiPo's at 1C.

I typically haul out 2 TX's and at least 2-4 planes with me. These I charge with standard wall warts on a strip.
