hello all im running a 10X7 on my 46fx supersportster mrkII flew it for the first time today and man is that a fun plane i was real happy with the flights. im wanting to use a larger prop say if i goto a 11x6 will this slow the plane down a little more on final to land i cut the throttle pretty much to idle but is still a little fast on coming in. what is the advantage i can get out of running a 11x6 thanks mike

For any engine within a reasonable range using a longer flatter pitch prop will render the following performance changes from a shorter higher pitch prop: Faster slow speed acceleration, shorter take off, faster rate of climb and slower overall top speed. Additionally a longer flatter prop will cause more propellor drag on approach allowing slower approach and shorter landing rollout.
