Engine for 1/4 scale Cub

Purchased a 1/4 scale cub from an older gentleman at a swap meet today==still in the bones. I was wondering what size engine should I be looking at to put in this plane? The person I purchased the plane from had a stroke and he could not remember what kit it was. I need to get a window kit for it. Felt sorry for the older man, because I know that he liked to build and fly, you could tell that by the quality of the work that he had completed. Maybe I could take a picture of it and someone might know who the mfg. is.

Along with the photo, try to post some measurements. That may help identify it.
When it comes to engine choice, it would be a sin to put a 2-stroke glow engine in a cub. If you go glow, a 4-stroke would be the way to go. Something like a 1.20-1.60 should work I'd think. It may be pricey but something like this would really be cool: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBY68&P=0
Another option that is pretty budget friendly would be gas. Something in the 20-26cc range should fit in the cowl nice and fly the plane very well.

I have a balsa USA ¼ cub @ 14.5lbs with an OS 91 FSP swinging a Master Airscrew 14X8. This halls the cub around in a very scale manner, not over powered. The full size J3 only had a 50hp Continental

I have an unbuilt 1/4 scale Super Cub 108" wingspan, a kit actually. I have a Saito 180 in the box waiting for it. Hummm, maybe too much engine huh?

The old gentleman I purchased it from (who had a stroke) said he though maybe it was a Sig but he wasn't sure. Do you know where I might get a window kit for it?

If it is a sig, I would think you could contact them at http://www.sigmfg.com/ and ask them.
Good luck, I will buy it from you for $70

It appears that the so called windshield kit may just be some .032" acrylic sheet?
There may be a template for the windshield on the plans?
You will have to call and see
I do recommend buying the instruction book and possibly the decals?
Do you have the struts? Are you going to need them?

I do not have the struts and yes I will probably need them. The windshield looks like a big version of the GB ann. Cub. Has the top part that juts out over the LE of the wing.
