Default Painting Question

I am looking for a forum so i ask questions about painting model airplanes .....I found one but for RC cars......, and i am a beginner so i'll as here. I know there are codes on different websites used to match ultracote, if you have experience please direct me to the best website for that... Paint is expensive and i'd hate to waste $$$ on paint that doesn't match my ultrcote

You can buy ultracote spray paint that matches perfectly.

If you want to try mixing visit [link=http://www.charlesriverrc.org/articles/construction/ppgpaintmatch.htm#Ultrac]this link.[/link]

Whatever you do, don't buy Ultracoat paint. It claims to be fuelproof to 15%. Completely untrue. I painted a cowl, landing gear and wheel pants with it. The color match was horrible. It was still tacky after more than a week and it turned to mush after two flights. Good news is it comes off easily with lacquer thinner.

Thank you for the fast replies. I want this to paint a Great Planes Tiporare(ca. 80's) kit that i had put away for many years. I will Ultracote the wings and rear hor. stab, and paint the fuse since it is fiberglass. My brother has a nice air compressor, and badger airgun(sprayer) that he has used with great success, and i'd like to give it a try. So aerosol can are kind of out of the question for such a large item that i'd have to paint.

Nelson Hobbies sells very good paint that matches most of the leading covering colors. I've used the match to Ultracote corsair blue #905. Look towards the bottom of the page for the color charts:
