Morning everyone, I had a question. I am, of course, just getting started and wanted to know if there were any suggestions for a comprehensive beginners guide that I look through to get a better idea of the ins and outs of R/C. I am more interested in the flying aspect than the building. My town home doesn't give me anywhere to do that at the moment. Anyway I have the G2 simulator on the way. I thought that would be a good starting point to "see how it goes" prior to the purchase of a trainer aircraft.

Thanks

There are, in fact, a lot of clubs in Maryland. I'm up in Laurel, so that's a bit away. You might want to look up Doug's Hobby Shop, I think it's in your neck of the woods. They'd have pointers to the local clubs if AMA website doesn't help much.

Default Very disappointed

I got the G2 sim today. Right out of the box I am having problems, the add on vol 1 which came with it will not load, period. I have tried everything, it says loading setup and then it just dies, nothing else happens. I've updated the RFG2 main program and everything else I could think of............Uggg

Default Local Clubs in St Mary's

Hi Crashhelmet,

Best person to talk to about clubs down there is a guy named vinnie on these forums he resides in St. Marys and belongs to a club I think next to Pax. River Naval Air Station. I am sure he can help you out.

BTW what part of St. Marys do you reside? I lived in Sandgates in Mechanicsville for about 2 years and lived in Charles County for about 10 years.

Good Luck and welcome aboard

I live in Great Mills. I have been here only for about 4 years. I still need to go check out Doug's Hobby Shop too.
