Throw them in the wash. They are water-soluable so should easily come out especially when it's still fresh.

Since I used a dedicated pair of pants when working with glues which might get on my pants, I've never tried this, but... If the glue in question is water soluable, allowing it to soak in water for a few hours might help soften it up. Let it soak until you can start prying it loose with your finger nails.

If that doesn't work, another trick which works for many odd items is to soak it with Coca-Cola. It can disolve almost anything, including the pants if left long enough. As stated in another thread (possibly intended to answer this thread)

The Coke might work and possibly some other solvent but just because something is water soluable for application doesn't mean it stays that way.

Otherwise latex house paint would come off with the first rain

I said it might help. Let latex paint soak in water, and it will soften up.

Try a wet cloth over it and press it with an iron. It might soften up fro the steam and peel off with your fingernail.

They use steam in dry cleaning shops to soften all kind of substances. Or call and find out what they use.
