Default Control surface throws

Hi Guys,
Another beginners question,
When setting the control throws as per the instruction book is a control throw the complete travel or travel each way from nuetral point,

eg, if a rudder has a control throw of 1 and a quarter inches is that the total travel or is total travel two and a half inches ?,

The instructions dont really say?

It is the distance from nuetral in each direction.

As stated that's in each direction. If you have a radio that permits setting dual rates you could set the rate as stated but reduce it in rate 2. In that way you will be able to compare what amount is best for you.

be sure and follow the suggested travel rate recommendations or the plane will be difficult to fly
