Default Airplane Engine Books

I'm hoping to find a really, really great book on RC model engines. I would like one that has lots of information on four strokes, and if there is one that deals with fuel injection systems and superchargers, that would be a real bonus

I cannot believe how relevant this hobby has become to my current education! I don't know if one has influenced the other, but it's SO COOL to have your favorite hobby and an education you are passionate about go hand-in-hand. Fluid dynamics and thermodynamics just happened to be my favorite courses so far, and I landed a research position working with a four stroke, compression-ignition engine. My last lab of the semester was entitled 'Drag and Lift' and was a study on an airfoil in a wind tunnel. We actually only covered drag and lift for one day in class, and it was after the lab, but I already had something of an understanding and was able to lead my team to an A on the project.

This is so much fun!

Gotta agree with w8ye, the Higley book is top notch - I have had it for years and reference it all the time.

I have the MAN engine book myself, handy to have around with easy to understand text and diagrams. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXLGR8&P=ML w8ye nailed the good ones.

Doing my own searches pretty much came up with nothing other than the MAN book.

Is either one geared more towards modern four strokes or would be a better choice for help with a YS?
