Dear All,
this is a question to all. I have a phoenix tiger40 but am finding it a bit difficult to fly, especially with moderate winds when it tends to bob discomfortingly. I was told that the Phoenix scanner is a easier plane to fly but note that its wingspan is even less than the tiger40( 1445mm vs 1500mm on the tiger). I am also considering a phoenix tiger 60 which is a larger plane. The tiger60 has flaps but I wont be using those and will be locking them.
So can you guide me on what to do? Should I buy the tiger 60 or the scanner 40?

Dear All,
only Phoenix, Seagull and World Models are available to me. Please suggest which of these would be easier than the Ph Tiger II 40 to fly in light winds
Phoenix:
Tiger 60
Scanner-40
World models
Super Sports 40
Seagull:
Low wing 40 (This is the only model available but has a wing span of 1445mm, similar to scanner)
Note that I am curently flying a Tiger40 but it tends to bob around even in light winds. This is essentially a copy of the Goldberg Tiger 40 but has 59" wing instead of 61" on the Goldberg.
Regards,
Ameyam

I would go with the Tiger 60, I have flown a Tiger 40 and found it a bit touchy and never felt comfortable with it. The Tiger 60 is a very different proposition, it flies well is very stable and is capable of doing pretty well everything you would need it to do. I have installed the flaps on mine but they are essentially a waste of 2 servos. Have a Thunder Tiger 90 four stroke at the pointy end and it flies beautifully. There are 3 others at my club, one has an OS 61, another has an OS 75, yet another has a Saito 90 four stroke. All fly very nicely and the, engine is just personal preference.
Have also found the Tiger 60 to be good in the wind and lands very nicely.
Enjoy
