Any help or advise is GREATLY appreciated!!!
Just started flying, bought a Hobbico Cessna 182 that came with real fly 3.5 (really helped) I have become fairly sucessfull with the 182, landing it good, flying it good. But the problem I am having is with the battery, i htink. Twice it has just died in flight, one time I was able to land ok, but the other I was going into the wind adn when I lost power it fliped and crashed. I decided to upgrade to the Parkzone Corasair PNP. I bought the Spekrum DX6i and am ready to fly, but I havn't yet.
This is where I need help.
The battery is a parkzone 2200 3-cell
The Charger is parkzone charger (cheap one) I have orderded the triton new charger for 129$ thats does everything.
What I am not sure of is how long I should try to fly on my first flight so I don't run out of battery. I fly pretty fast so I guess Ineed to slow my thrttle down a bit.
Also I bought one of the no name batteries from China for 1/2 the price, antone have any experience with these?
Also ANY advise on anything would be greatly appreciated!

Do Not discharge a Lipo battery all the way !
Check out the Electric Forum for Lipo does
and dont's. These batteries require Special
attention at all times.
As for the cheap battery, You get what you
pay for rule applies here.

I have the parkzone corsair. It's easy to know when to bring it in, it buzzes at you.
You will hear the engine start to surge back and forth and you will definitely notice the loss of speed. As soon as that starts, i bring it down. You can time it, then you will have an idea of how long it actually lasts. The parkzone charger isn't that bad actually, it has a charge rate select and audible alarm. Only drawback is that you only have the cig lighter power connector. If you haven't ordered your overpriced charger yet, check this out. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...lancer/Charger It comes highly recommended from the electric forum and other guys that fly the corsair. I have one and it works great and has a very nice display. These batteries are the exception to the rule of you get what you pay for. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...0mAh_3S1P_25C_ I have one too. They are also highly recommended in the same forums. Here is the Corsair forum. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7590470/tm.htm

No matter what LiPo battery pack you use, do NOT charge it in the car or in your house. They can and will catch fire to a level that almost looks like an explosion. The resultant fire will destroy whatever it is in or near.
Use a short extension cord from your cigarette lighter in the car to get it away from the car for charging, and if charging it at home, do it outside, well away from your house.
There have been several recorded instances of homes burned down and cars/vans/trucks completely gutted as a result of fires caused by problems with LiPo packs, even small ones!!
Be very careful. These things really require special care and feeding.
Don't get me wrong, they are great for what they do, but, as said, they do require special caution when charging.
CGr.
