I have the opportunity to purchase a used plane and am wondering which one of the three would other RCU members choose. (Ignoring price differences.) Assume that the models are in similar shape. I guess what I am asking is which one is the best flyer (intermediate sport flying)?

The recommendation depends completely on your level of experience and comfort. Is this your first, second, third, or fourth plane? Flying characteristics of the three are probably NOT similar. The HOG Bipe and the Super Skybolt are probably more advanced planes that will not be very forgiving of inexperienced flyers. The SSE is probably the best choice for a second or third plane, but depending on setup can also be a handful.
Without additonal information on what you've flown previously, no recommendation yet.

I have an AeroWorks Edge 540T, Tiger II, and a TF Bonanza. I feel pretty comfortable flying each one. Oh yeah, and a high wing trainer.

In his profile (1-1/2 years old) he said he had 2 years experience (then) and was an intermediate pilot. Hopefully we can assume he has maintained or improved on that level. The SSE should be easy enough and either bipe should be doable with a bit of caution and the help of an experienced bipe pilot for a little coaching on bipe flying characteristics/techniques. Wouldn't try one without a little help though.

If you're bored flying the 540T, go for either of the Bipes (with some assistance as Bruce recommends. If the 540T still gives you an adrenaline rush every take off and landing, stick to the SSE.
The planes you have are pretty forgiving. Flying the Bipes you'll need to learn to fly the plane in for landing, rather than chop and drop. Also, don't force the Bipes off the runway. They have a much higher drag than the normal monoplane, and it easy to induce a stall on take off. Get the wheels off the ground and let it build up more airspeed. You'll also find the Bipes to be much shorter coupled between the Tail and the Main wing. You'll be much more likely to ground loop on take off if you try to add the throtte too quckly.
Whatever you purchase, good luck and have fun.

I have the Skybolt with the Mag.91RFS swinging an APC 14x6 prop and wow it is a nice flying plane. I'd recommend it. Go for it, you'll thank me later.
