That's sweet! The typhoon is a fun little plane, be careful though its definitely not a trainer. I won a heat gun once, we have a pretty nice little raffle at each monthly club meeting.

Huger,
Yes the Extra Easy. It flew great. It was a little breezy, the plane is definitaley a floater, I Found it a little hard to keep low when flying into the wind. Then again, I kept it at about half thottle. probably should have backed off a little on the throttle when heading into the wind. Other than that it flew beautfully. When I flew the typhoon, that was a super fun plane. Can't wait to fly ,y Typhoon. I started putting it together last night. Got up at 5 AM this morning to finish putting it together. She's ready to fly! Charging the Lippo as we speak. using the car charger that came with it. It went into balancing mode on the charge, so will keep on the charger until I get a solid green light.

dignlivn,
Yeah keeping an eye on it. Using the DC charger for the car. Just checked, it is evidently balancing some cells. Need to get lipo charger for the house. Do the car chargers go into balancing mod after the battery is fully charged and not disconnected right away? it's an 1800 Lipo, and LHS said it should take about an hour to charge that way. I'm at about and hour now and it's still showing balancing mode. Wondering if I missed the solid green light.
Minnflyer,
Yeah I'll remember. Nothing a glue gun can't fix! Wanted to fly it today, but snowing mixed with rain. and oh yeah, I'm at work too.

One more little bit of advice regarding charging LiPo packs. It's ok to use the car plug, but make sure you have a long enough cable of sufficient gauge wire (12 gauge at least) to go from your car jack to well outside of the car. When these battery packs go, they do so very impressively. There are a few video's on the internet on Your Tube that show a vehicle fires caused by LiPo's destroying themselves. One is of a brand new van that was gutted by the resultant fire. Also, do yourself a favor and get a "Lipo Sack". http://www.liposack.com/ You can read about them on their web site. Very well worth the cost.

CG,
Sack makes sense. Will pick one up this week. Right now just a short cord, Might reach outside. Talked to the LHS, they said if it's in balancing mode, to let it go until i get a solid green light. So, it's still balancing away. Can't wait to fly it. I handled my friends Typhoon very well yesterday.

I have a standard digital volt meter. Plenty of Ammo cans at work, will have to snab one. Have been meaning to buy a volt watch, just keep forgetting everytime I go the LHS. 3 cell 1800 mAh.

[color=#FF0099]We had one toast the inside of an Escalade last year at our field!!! [:@] Most of us charge off our car batteries....lots of hoods up along our field...and the number is growing every year...sign of the growing number of electrics.
