Default FASST rx mounting question.

I am building a phase 3 f-16 and there is not alot of room for the rx. I need to know if the antenna portion can be mounted with the lipo setting right on top of it. Mounting the 2 antennae at a right angle from each other is proving to be difficult due to the limited space available. I can put the end of the antennae in a plastic tube, or fuel tubing, but the battery would still be right on top of it.

What I have done is to drill two holes right into the foam fuselage and slip the antennas into them

Yeah, that's what I did with the Diablo when I put in the RX. See the attached picture. By the way, the position of the RX next to the ESC is the way it came. I simply removed the 72 MHz RX and put in the Spektrum RX.

Part 1 of your question. Use this trainer cord from Horizon. [link]http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=HAN173[/link] . It allows you to use a Futaba as the master and a Spektrum/JR as the slave radio.

Part 2. Both radios will need to be in the same Mode for Training.

He'll also need http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...?ProdID=HAN174 to match the Futaba buddy jack. I still don't promise that it will work satisfactorily but worth a try?
