Sanding and preparing my plane for ultracote this is my first plane so it has miner imperfections my question is how much can I expect the ultracote to hide or do I need a lot more balsa filler, getting tired of sanding!

It depends. Small holes or divots may be hidden if they are, say, 1/4" or less. But bumps will stick out like a sore thumb.
