I don't know how good they are but it will work with the 6ex Tx, if you scroll to the bottom of the page there is a link to the hitech crystals get the one for your tx channel..

Very good RX. I use a Futaba 9-C radio and have used them often. I have never seen them priced that low before. I'm wishing I had an eitghty dollar bill in my pocket, I would buy a couple new ones tonight!!

One of the best receivers made. Use only a Hitec crystal in it

I have a dozen of them that I use with my Futaba 8UAF transmitter

Most of my radios are Hitec and would not have any problem using this rx. The only problem might be its size but in most planes at that size, its not an issue. But isn't your Futaba 6EX a 2.4 GHz ? If so the Hitec Supreme IIS 8-Channel FM Autoshift DC Receiver will not work because it is a 72MHz FM Receiver. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. I'd hate to mislead this guy.

2.4 ghz and 72 Mhz don't mix and will not work with each other

Hitec does not make anything that is 2.4 ghz yet

Futaba 6EXP's are 72 Mhz

Yeah, that is what I did. I see the difference between the 6EX and the 6EXP. Also I'm leaning very heavily toward 2.4 GHz radio the next time I need a new one. Sorry if I created any confusion.

The Supreme IIS by Hitec is a great RX. I am running 15 of these and they are everybit as good as my Futaba and Jr RXs'. Use only Hitec crystals in them. The only downside is that they are a bit bigger than the competition but that is not a problem in most planes anyway.

W8ye... Hitec has just released a bulletin stating that they are now entering the 2.4 craze with
a 9 channel radio, the Aurora, slated to be released in June, lots of features including a 30 model memory and a touch screen.. The are also releasing a 2.4 7ch module for adapting existing radios like the Optic 6, Eclipse and Prism. I am currently using 2-Optic 6 TXs' so I will definately be looking towards the 2.4 module upgrade at the least and/or quite possibly upgrading to the Aurora.

We have stayed from the problem. but i must say all that want 2.4 go for it. That means more air space for me because your not on my channel. Hitec has been around for a long time my first remote was one. I still got it but it is a wall hanger now due to to much hanger time. I think ive got around 20 to 25 hitec rx's due to every one sell 72. They were built to last. So go have fun. Fly your bird with pride. Dont let them give heck over jr, futaba, hitec. There is only one good kind the one that works porperly.
