Anyone please help, I use a futaba 6exa fm 72mhz I can find no info to help with this problem I already have fms and clearview working on my computer, but only with keyboard and a PS3 controller. I'm on vista.
I have the gws interface cable and as soon as I plug in it installs all is good.
As for the game controllers menu- I can find my controller there (labelled "ppm" , but I cannot calibrate. I get the little screen with the x that's supposed to move around but it won't move, as though my tx is not even there.
The only thing I can find is to enable TRNR mode but it does not have that in any menu that I can find I read the manual 100 times before asking here I am STUMPED...
Any advice?
Thanks

i had that same problem with my JR 10X, youre gonna have to go into the menu on your transmitter and make sure it is in PPM mode, not PCM Mode(default i think)

FMS is finicky. You might have to unplug your controller, shut down the software and computer, and try again.
The calibration mode is under 'joystick'.
The first time I tried FMS I had a Futaba 6EX 72mhz and it took a few attempts for the software to recognize my radio, so keep playing with it. It's probably not anything that makes sense, just a glitch in the free software.
Good luck!

Run the simulator in XP compatibility mode. You'll find the setting by right clicking the icon and going to properties. When I started using Vista, I found that fix along with a lengthy set of things to do on another forum, but I've long since lost the link. Some googling with "fms vista" should get you there.

Futaba says that due to the safety feature in the computer radio that does not allow it to function as a trainer slave with the switch in the on position, which is what is needed to use as a controller on the pc.
The usb does not produce the required 9.6volts to power the tx with the switch off activating the training mode. With the switch in the on position the radio transmits as normal because it does not read the usb pc as another Tx......
They were kind enough to inform me that they sell the interlink controller, and that the nexstar has a powered cable interface..... LOL
