Default Computer Help?

Hi friends, I'm a Computer Science Engineer and would love to help anyone that has basic to expert questions in the realm of computers. As a matter of fact (hint, hint, Mr. Moderator) why don’t we start a COMPUTER FORUM for those that are just not sure?

Okay, maybe this isn’t the best place to post this, but let’s hear some feedback.

If not, I’ll keep quite.

Thanks all!

Wiqar

Default Computer help

As long as this is computer help as related to RC there should be a place for help here. This is just my opinion as RC Admin is certainly a computer expert.

Several forums are related to computer use. Simulators are one of the most helpful tools to come along. The design forums have lots of information regarding CAD design.

Sorry Kev, but it's not RC related. But thanks for offering your services, maybe if someone has a question, they'll PM you.

Sorry Kev, but it's not RC related
Sorry (everyone's got an opinion)...but this I don't agree with this at all (sorry Minn). My car may not be work related...but if it breaks down it becomes work related real quick, and guess what? The first place I ask for help and advice for getting my car going if I can get it figured out...it from guys I work with. If not for computers, where would RCU be? Would you rather send someone on a wild goose chase for any of the million computer forums on the internet, most of them being way over our heads (personal experience big time)...or let fellow R/C'er share their experience on how they keep their computers in tip top shape so that they can get their daily R/C fix? Even if the topic never mentioned R/C or airplanes...it would still be the MOST RCU related topic condusive to keeping people reading and posting on the forum. Two other R/C related forums I go to have a member supported computer help topics, and they are well worth it when you need them. They've saved me several times...got me back up and going...so that I could keep reading and posting there.

There is a wealth of computer savy people here, and you already have a volunteer...my vote woud be to go for it and see what happens...I think you'll be suprised at it's reception. Computers still give me nightmares from time to time...and you can bet I'll be asking fellow flyers for help long before I'd go anywhere else.

I agree with you Tatoo. Notice that I didn't delete this thread.

Tell you what guys, I'm going to close it because it is not RC related, But I won't delete it.

If someone has a computer question, they can PM Kevlar, instead of posting.

Fair enough?
