Default My t-28 trojan from BH models

Well my t-28 is almost done, I decided to go with the saito 91 that I had a spare of, I bought this plane because 1. It looks awsome...2. It will be a good warbird to get me ready for my TF p-51 with the saito 100, and also teach me to use flaps on warbirds. I have heard nothing bad about this plane, it is the 60 size with the tri gear and flaps. Navy decals and cant wait to get it completed. How will the .91 power this plane? Should I of went with a 2 stroke or did I make the right choice? I think I am going to prop it with a 13x8 to start, the .91 is broken in already, any suggestions on props for this plane to get more speed out of it rather than torque? Thanks fellas.

Most report that a .70 four stroke is plenty for this plane. You'll have lots of power with the Saito .91. You can swing a 14x6 or 14x8 (although some report that a 14x8 is a bit much) with that engine. I wouldn't go smaller than 13x8. You might want to experiment with 3-blade props and see how you like them. In 3-blade props, I'd probably try a 12x8 or 13x8 and see which one your engine likes best.

I`ve never owned a saito engine before, but on my magnum 91 4stroke, 13x6 was the prop my engine liked best.
Some guys says that a magnum 91 is the same as an os 72. But I dont know, overall I`m very happy with the prop choice.

Here's the Horizon Hobbie's page on the Saito .91: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=SAIE100

Recommended prop range is 13x9 to 14x10

Here is a video of a BH trojan that I found with retract doors. Thought you might like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG01L...e=channel_page

That was sweet. Really liked the door on the nose wheel, and it seemed to be easy to make

THanks fellas, and brett thanks for the video....I will go with a 14x8 or so like on my p-51 with the saito 100. Thanks again.
