Default Wind Wind go away, I want to FLY!!!

Hey guys, Anyone else being grounded because of the wind? We've had constent winds of 20mph with gust of 30 for the past 2 almost 3 weeks. I hate the wind, I have a new plane waiting to be maidened. The winds to bad to even take my boat out and fish right now[:@]. Maybe it will let up soon, I hope

Airplanes don't know there's any wind.

Go fly.

Maybe trade you the wind for the rain and mud.

The wind is straight across the runway. I dont mind the wind if its down the runway, no problem. but right now its tuff just to get into the air with out the wind rolling the plane over into the ground. Maybe I'm just a little scared too[X(].

A windless day is like hitting the RC lottery, in my opinion. A strong wind is like a crying baby at the table next to you.

I learned along time ago, go flying wind or no wind, sometimes even in the light rain

use floats for the snow, if you let the weather stop you , you will never get to fly!

It wasn't, just a statement of fact!! It was blowing at a pretty steady 45 yeasterday and I tried to get some of the guys to go out for a wind fly, no takers. I was just wanting to teach wind flying to some of the guys that are afraid of the wind. Then last night I got a call from one of the guys that did go out, said he couldn't get his plane together even on the lee side of his van. Maybe my bright idea wasn't so good after all. It's looking great right now and supposed to be a 1mph wind at noon so several of us are going out in a few minutes. Wind isn't always your friend!!

No, it was in reference to Montezuma's revenge.[sm=thumbup.gif]

I have no idea what you are talking about, it is Moctezuma, but Brett, can you please avoid making that kind of comments? I feel very upset because of that. We are here to talk about RC and everything related to it, there is no need to start with this kind of things.. don't you think?

We had nice spring weather here in central Kentucky on Saturday and early Sunday, but the winds were 25+. I didn't go out to the field. Monday was great though, mid '50s and 5-6 mph winds. With the time change several of us were out flying after work.

Mid '70s today, but rain and wind again. Ugh.

You said you wanted to make us jealous of you by noting that you never get snow. I replied by inferring you can have your no snow weather because we have drinkable water. If you travel to Mexico from the US, you're always warned not to drink the water. There was nothing hateful about it.

Check the english version. I think the n is added and the c is dropped when translated. Kinda like Jesus Christ and Jesus Christo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moctezuma_II

I want to know how in the heck stating that you are supposed to stay away from the tap water in Mexico is racist!! You have got to be kidding me right? You feel very upset? I think it's time to brush it off. If he stated anything remotely racist you would have the right to be upset, but with this you are just looking for attention. Everyone from america knows to not drink the water from the tap in Mexico because our digestive system CAN'T handle it, therefore giving us Montezuma's revenge. This is a fact, and has nothing to do with racism. I love it when people can dish it out, but not take it.
