Default Should I measure the CG with a full or empty tank?

I'm sure this has been ask and answer before but if you guys don't mind I'll ask again.

My SIG somethin Extra says that the CG is 3 1/2 inches back from the leading edge of the wing... After measuring I found out that my planes CG is like that only with a full tank. With empty tank the CG is 4 inches back from the leading edge of wing.

I went flying today at lunch break and could not detect anything wrong with the plane.

Thanks.

Default EMPTY

But if it flew fine then leave it that way because it is still in the stable range. The reason for balancing it empty is that as your tank empties the CG will move aft and you don't want it to end up tail heavy at the end of your flight. If the tank is right on the CG you don't have to worry about this. If the tank is aft of the CG you would balance the plane with a full tank. Apparently 4" back is OK for this plane.
