Default J-3 cub on skis!!

Built a set of aluminum skis today and flew off the snow, that was great fun! Did have some minor nose overs though, snow was getting wet and sticky but nice soft landings and much easier on props! sorry no pics, keep blowing my camera budget on airplanes I really wish I would have never bought that nexstar, flying this cub is a complete dream over the nexstar. floats forever and flys nice and slow, but will get out and boogie when you want to.

Its made by Richmodel and I got it from AK models (94.00) I was worried about it a first for that price, But after assembly and some beefing up in the gear area, I am VERY impressed with this model, 71 inch wingspan arf for 94 bucks! This plane in my opinion is an excellent value and flyer! I recommend some reinforcement and better hardware though.

What are you powering the cub with and do you know it's AUW?
Thanks,

Flew again today, (on wheels this time) what a beutiful day to fly! A friend came over today and took some pics and video, I love this thing! Powered by os 46fxi, flys pretty scale, by no means a rocket but it will fly by at a snails pace posing for pics, I like to putt around anf fly pretty lazy, Not sure if the nerves will hold up to a fast flyer. My decathlon will likely fly much faster than the cub, will find out soon

My biggest complaint with this model is there is very little information or specs to be found for richmodel arfs, and the assembly instructions were AWFUL!! ( the pages work good to mix epoxy on!) but if one has any kind of experience it is very easy to put together, so to answer the question, I have no Idea what the auw numbers are for this plane. sorry!
