Default 4 CH setup

this may be a dumb question but... I started flying with electric planes and since have switched to glow. here's my question on my 6ch RX there is a port for the batt, on the 4ch RX I was going to use there isn't one, last time it was used was in an electric and I under stand the RX is feed through the ESC. using the same setup in a glow plane where 4 servos are needed how do you power the RX? I was guessing a Y cable?

All Rx's have a common power buss and the power can imput from any of the ports does not matter. Many Rx's to save weight do not have a dedicated batt port so if all channels are used any port is shared with the battery through a standard Y chord.
