Default Another Day, Another Lesson

Tried to go fly my Superstar EP today at my club...but they were doing some work so I headed over to the football field to do some flying. Hand launched it, flew for a few hundred feet wasn't getting much climb probably due to a battery that had been charged last week, landed successfully. Went for another hand launch, but when i turned my plane on the engine cranked to full power on idle (not supposed to do that). I advanced the throttle to see if the engine would stop but it just revved more until the prop shot off all the sudden taking some balsa with it....arghhhh!!!!! The damage was minimal and some wood glue fixed it right up but the prop had a chunk missing so I was done for today . I can't figure what happened, maybe the prop came loose on one of the landings?? Moral of the story PRE-FLIGHT IS IMPORTANT!

On a lighter note I got some new props and am gonna go fly at the club tommorow when it opens. I'm just glad I didn't destroy my plane today.
