What would be the best begginer plane?
I would prefer an ARTF but a RTF will be fine. I have a DX6i radio I can use. It needs to be able to take off on grass.
Thank you for your time,
Kyle

There is this thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4537845/tm.htm to answer your question beyond that its personal preference.
IMO the best trainers are Sig LT-40 or Thunder Tiger easy trainer 40, both with OS 46 AX or TT 46 pro.

I looked at that and wanted to narrow it down some.
I will have to go check those out.
Kyle
PS: It really needs to be electric for right now.

Everyone will have an opinion of their own about what trainer is best. I would suggest you get someone that has been flying planes for a while to help you fly for a while.
It looks like you fly helis so you wont have a lot of the orientation problems that some of us did when we started. Landing a plane is kinda tricky the first time tho.
There is a very good list of arf and rtf trainers in the sticky at the top of this forum. "Looking for a trainer, whats available" can not go wrong with any of em. they are time tested for the most part.
For my 2 cents, the best flying is the avistar, a slightly more advanced more fun trainer is the hobbistar 60, and I love the Hanger 9 P-51 PTS I just bought one of these and it really is 3 planes in one. After you get good with it you can easily "hop it up" with a prop change and a couple of simple to do mods. It is a blast. everything for the avistar to go electric is at the bottom of the page. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXPY56&P=0

im still in the learning process and im flying a hobby lobby brand yak 55 foam plane. The good thing about this plane to me is you can total wreck the plane and for $25. You have a brand new one. Now it has no landing gear so you have to hand launch it and for landings you just try to set it down as lightly as possible.
