Tag rag. Use a cotton rag and just dampen it lightly and rub the wood. It doesn't have to be anything special to get the covering to stick well.

There is no quick easy way, but you're going to very glad you did it!

Try to get a stream of air to blow out sawdust from ALL nooks and crannies, then use the tack rag. If an air compressor is unavailable, most vacuum cleaners today have a connecting port that yields a positive airflow.

A not really too quick process, but again, there is nothing worse than coming upon an oasis of sawdust as you're moving along with a covering job.

Just got finished getting a plane ready a few minutes ago. I used a stiff paint brush on it first then took it outside and used my compressor and air hose on it then I used an old then a new tack rag I buy at the hardware store. Ready!!

Blow with a compressor (outdoors), vacuum with a soft brush on the end of hose, then tack rag from paint supplies place.

Hi everyone,
I 'm using a vacuum with a specific brush which has long hair (like a paintbrush) to get rid off all the dust before painting...
It's working fine and doesn't scratch the plane.

Do not use damp rag on wood. It will raise the grain requiring it be sanded again. Blow it off is best method.
