Default RE: RC Modeler Magazine

I loved RCModeler back in the day. I subscribed starting in the 70's and tried to collect all the back issues, but never got a complete collection. All those names of the columnists are very nostalgic, I especially enjoyed Ken Willard's writing and designs. I wrote an article or two for them, and got about $50 for each and some free copies of the issue, but it was all about just getting in the mag, and not so much the $. I used to send in FWIW ideas just to get the free RCM stickers to put on my planes or tool boxes! IMHO it was the best mag back then, compared to Flying Models, Model Builder, MAN, Model Aviation, and American Aeromodeler (is that the right name?). Someone is right though, it went south in the late 90's or so, and so I quit subscribing. My collection is still sitting in covered plastic bins under my friend's house in Kaneohe, HI. I moved out of HI back in 05, and my company mover said I might be overweight on household goods, so I left my collection there. Still haven't figured out how to get it back, as I would love to peruse the old issues again. Some of it is just timeless, and the old ads are a kick in the pants. Jon
