Can any one recommend a good ac battery charger, I'v heard a lot of people talking about capacity, charge rate, discharge. All I have are the wall chargers that came with my radios (JR 7202).

Likely the highest recommended on rcu, with a lot of good reasons. I just ordered one myself in place of another one I do not like so much. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXEYD4&P=ML

That is a very good charger, not the cheapest one you can buy but a very good one. It will meet most all of your R/C charging needs. It also comes with an A/C power supply so it A/C and D/C ready with nothing else to buy.

I don't think there is a perfect charger.
I have a [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXL331&P=7]multi charger[/link] for overnight charging and a [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=++&FVSEARCH=triton&search=Go]triton[/link] for lipos, lead acid and cycling.

My Feedback: (8)
One thing I learned is that you want a charger with a variable discharge rate. You can inspect a battery by discharging it, recharging it, and seeing how much of a charge it takes. Battery manufacturers suggest a specific discharge rate in order to get accurate results.

Take a look at new hyperion chargers, they charge new edge batteries that are not even on sale on much LHS, they balance lipo batteries while charging, charge and discharge NiCd and NiMh batteries, I do not thing you could use more than 5 features from a bunch that they come with.

I have several chargers I have gotten over the years, all for NIM and NICAD, I know squat about the newer batteries or chargers for them. The problem I have been running into is I have gone from batteries like the 4.8 800mah to 6 volt 4500mah and my chargers don't go over 2800mah. This has turned into a pain when charging big packs and I can no longer afford a new charger. This is one of those think ahead problems but when I started flying 1100mah was a big battery. Whoed a thunk??
