Default buddy box

Can any two compatible radios be used as a buddy box system, if I have two Airtronics VG6000 and connect them with a trainer wire then leave one on and the other off will this work as a buddy box setup?

Yes, two VG6000 radios will work together in a master/trainer "buddy box" setup. Just get the appropriate trainer cord to connect them together.

It is for Airtronics and Spektrum. I don't know about Futaba, JR, and Hitec, but I imagine that they are compatible.

No, it's not true. It's not true for Airtronics radios either. There are some models of Airtronics radios that won't work in a buddy box setup.

Ken: I didn't know that. Are you talking about the older Quasars hooking up to an RD8000 for instance?

To tell you the truth, we have an Airtronics buddy box and perhaps what I was thinking is that it will work with most of the Airtronics radio systems.. excepting perhaps their Stylus, but I only know one person with one of those.
