Default Unknown Type of Piper Cub? Need Help!!

Hi,

So a piper cub was purchased at a garage sale and all I have is the dimensions and the type of actuators, I think it is also fuel injected?...

I was wondering if anyone could help and tell me what type of Piper Cub this would be (ex.. j-3, and etc.)

wingspan (approx. 750mm)
length (approx. 500mm)
wing width (approx 11 inches)

Actuators are futaba... 4 channel plane...

Thanks!!!

frenchdoor, a picture is worth a thousand words. With the plethora of Cub's out there, it is next to impossible to identify with dimensions alone. Can you post pics, or give any other identifying marks, etc.?

I am currently not near it to take any pictures...... what would help? It was hand-made so would there be any markings under the fuselage or anything to tell? Most of the piper cubs I have seen have had there nose enclosed, on my piper cub the whole right side is taken out and the motor sticks out the side.... the on and off switch is on the side of it along with another switch for something else??

frenchdoor, are you a newbie to RC planes? If so, that Cub is NOT a good trainer to learn on. Are there any local RC clubs in your area? I strongly advise that you find an experienced RCer in your area and get some help. Many have tried to learn to fly RC plans on there own, only a handful are successful. With the right help, success for your future in RC is almost gauranteed.
