does it handle up to the vibrations of a .91 4 stroke. and the current from 1 mini, 3standard, 1HT servo's?
ground tests are good, but i need more info before ill trust putting it in my new yak54

I use this one [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJC15&P=ML]Switch[/link] with this mounting jack [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJ778&P=M]great planes[/link] in every single plane, I could not live without this setup. But if I was worried about it as you are I would go for something tougher [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXA49&P=ML]heavy duty[/link]

I used to use those small switches and the tower mount with the push/pull like the one shown, I still have one being used in one plane. It is powered with a YS 1.10 and has worked very well for several years now. I have had one go out on me so I switched over to the JR heavy duty switch with the charge jack and like them better for all my other planes. There are several good switches on the market these days so you have some very good choices.

I like the regular Hitec switch. Only had one I had to replace because of a bad crash. What works well with it is a VoltWatch, those leds let you know whether ther rx is on or not.

7 bucks for tiny piece of plastic with some metal inside is a little much?
if it was $4 i wouldnt even think twice. (gota draw the line somewhere i bet it cost them 1-2 cents to make a switch, if that)
i think i might head over to radio shack and pickup a switch (2 for that i have been useing for a spad. they are tiny but it has worked this far (6+ hours) id prob put two on my yak54 to be safe (http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...&tab=techSpecs)
or just get two of these http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLZK0&P=0
if i had a order ready for tower >150 id order a few switches. as of now i have 20 bucks in the cart. im not going to bs my way to 150

I haven't had any problems with them.
The case clamps onto the wires making them more secure.
I've used them on planes that vibrate heavily, though I use the MPI switches on my 1.20 and larger four strokers and gassers.

Name brand equipment has a reputation associated with it, which is a help but not a guarantee. Anything Hooby City sells should looked at as an experiment. For your application, I personally would use a heavy duty standard size switch so there is no question of its performance. I still find it diffficult to understand why people will risk a expensive airplane; to save couple of bucks, buying equipment that does not have a proven track record.

There was a time when all the "proven" brands we use today were a gamble, If no one took a
chance with JR, Hitec, MPI ect, they would never have become "proven". Like you said P-40
it is an experiment. Hopegully guys don't stop experimenting any time soon, I like to read posts
about alternative brands that can save me some $$.

Give them a try sometime, you'll be amazed.
I'll just continue to pay 1/4 the price for motors, batteries, etc. that work better than most "big names" for products that are usually produced in the same factories.

Well if it works, great!, if not, you just lost a plane [:@], I can be alot more certain with a name brand switch that has a track record. On such a cheap item that is so critical, I spend the extra few dollars and get something that I know works. I will wait untill somebody else proves that item is reliable.
As for Hobby City, They will become a big player in the RC world, no doubt.
