Well I finally got to fly today after 5 months. Took it nice and easy in order to get re-acquainted with my Showtime. Well anyway....as I was putting the plane back in my car at the end of the day, I somehow hit the elevator against the car and broke the outer hinge on the right elevator half. What is the best way to repair this? Do I just cut the elevator half off and reslot and install all new hinges? Also, would I be able to fly it until I get the chance to fix it? (prob not).

Cut six strips of covering about 1" long by 1/2" wide.
Overlap them by about 1/4" (adhesive side to adhesive side) and iron them together.
Slide them into the gap from the end and iron them down to the top and bottom of the stab and elevator

That seems to be a decent temp fix. Being that the weather should be great tomorrow, it will keep me in the air as none of my other planes are ready yet. Thanks MINN! Once I get my Edge ready... This one will be pulled into the hanger for proper repair.
