Default Lost Plane Locator

I'm looking for a Lost Plane Locator/Finder that will work with Airtronics 2.4ghz. RDS8000 to be exact. I found some on Ebay but not sure if they will work with my receiver. I'm newbie with this hobby and almost lost my slope plane many times. Spent hours in searching it.

Uh, I just recently lost my Radian RTF. Thankfully I put my name and phone # on it and when I got home, I had a voice mail. Not very technical, but I got it back.

another thing that might work is one of those personal alarms. My aunt had one, and it send out one hell of a noise. Just rig it in the fuse so the pin is fastened and the actual unit is just resting in the fuse. I doubt any normal flying would set it off, but in a crash, it should work. Only thing to worry about is the weight gain. And always have your name and phone number/AMA or MAAC number.

I bought a half dozen lost plane "beepers" on EBAY. They were about $8.00 each. They sound off after 60 seconds of inactivity. Of course, they assume that your battery will still be intact after the plane comes down. The sound is OK for about 40 yards or so, which helps.

There are fancy ones that actually track a specific plane with a radio beacon. I haven't tried those. Most of my concerns are when I put the plane down in a corn field and I need help locating it when I am closing in. Rich

This is interesting the beepers I mean, for how long are the beeping?
When we are loosing airplanes in the bushes, depends on the bushes some times we don’t go to get, its too much poison ivy.
if we do go sometimes people recover unfamiliar airplanes and its a small area, a Bermuda triangle...

If that was the case here, I would be suiting up and going bush diving! (no pun intended) I would charge people a finders fee or keep the planes.

I wonder if one of those "child locators" they advertise on TV would work. You know, the one on the battery commercial with the woman looking for he kid?... I think the manufacturer is called "Brickhouse"Edit add on: Nevermind, I just googled it. Those things cost $130 +. Yikes!

I have one of these locators. They look like the animal locators you see on TV. The transmitter in the plane is tiny. Has a range like twenty miles and will transmitt a couple days
